Review: Carbon Coco | 100% Natural Teeth Whitening

I’ve been looking for a teeth whitening product for a while that won’t damage my teeth. I was contacted by Carbon Coco that have an all natural, vegan teeth whitening kit that I have seen being very popular over Instagram. They were kind enough to send me their “Ultimate Carbon Kit” which contains 1x activated charcoal toothpaste, 1x activated charcoal tooth polish, 1x toothbrush with bamboo bristles and a storage bag.

They are based in Australia but ship internationally. On first impression, I thought the kit was really simple and easy to understand how to use. I love that this product is vegan, if you guys saw my unboxing of The Vegan Kind, you would know that I have been trying to be more aware of using vegan products. Carbon Coco is a 100% Natural Teeth Whitener, which naturally whitens teeth, polishes them, strengthens enamel and detoxifies your mouth without chemicals.
Before use, my teeth weren’t very stained, but I would love to have whiter teeth. I have been keen to try out a teeth whitening kit for a while, but was too scared about buying a product that might have chemicals that could damage my teeth. This product is made out of 100% Organic Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal with a hint of bentonite powder and lemon myrtle.

On first use, I was a little anxious as how messy this product would be. I followed what they advised and dipped my wet toothbrush, supplied by them, into the activated charcoal tooth polish. This polish felt great. It reminded me of having your teeth professionally cleaned by your dentist with sand. Anyway, I continued scrubbing for 2-3 minutes as suggested and as I spat it out, I quickly learnt with this product, you want to try and spit as close to the sink surface as possible because you do not want the black to go everywhere. Using this product everyday twice, I quickly learnt this hack would minimise cleaning after by quite a lot. The great thing about this product is that it doesn’t stain.
Your teeth go completely black, as do your lips, basically areas that your toothbrush will touch. This is fine though! The toothpaste in the kit is also black, which made me think oh fudge how or what part gets rid of the black. The toothpaste actually becomes white and removes all the black from the scrub. It also tastes really good, I find some toothpastes can be a little harsh. This toothpaste has a unique Activated Charcoal fluoride free formula. It fights cavities, plaque, gingivitis and bad breath.
This is my teeth comparison from before beginning the product and one week in. I noticed that stains on the inside of my teeth were starting to be removed and the overall shade looked slightly brighter.
In all honesty, my teeth were never badly stained before. I have always wanted them to be whitened but realistically natural products like this will work to lighten your teeth a few shades for a healthy whiteness, but if you’re looking for an artificial white, you will only get that from harsh chemicals. So I definitely recommend this as a scrub to clean your teeth and to brighten them a few shades lighter, but if you’re expecting to suddenly have artificially white teeth, it’s not going to happen. It’s for sure a great natural product that you know won’t do damage to your teeth. I found that my teeth went a few shades lighter, which is really successful for a product that doesn’t harm your teeth and for such an easy application. I definitely will continue using this product and would be interested in trying out their other products.

Have any of you tried this product yet?
